Modern Warfare 3 Death Streaks

Written by Super User. Posted in good 9

We all have bad days. When you keep dying in Modern Warfare 3, you know you’re off your game. That’s why you’re going to want to know all about the death streaks available in the third Modern Warfare — special rewards given for dying consecutively. Like an opposite killstreak, death streaks provide some of the hated bonuses from Call of Duty games past. Not exactly a badge of honor, but the more you know, the better off you are. Be sure to learn more about Final Stand, what is easily the most useful of the death streaks. Keep scrolling to learn more.

If you’re not interested in dying in multiplayer, and are instead interested in succeeding at singleplayer, drop by our text and video walkthrough. For more information on the game itself, including secrets, hints, and lists, browse over to the cheats page.

Death Streaks

  • Juiced
    • Rewarded after 4 consecutive deaths.
    • Grants a 25% bonus to run speed, but only for a few seconds after respawning.

  • Revenge
    • Rewarded after 5 consecutive deaths.
    • Permanently highlights the player that killed you last on your minimap.

  • Final Stand
    • Rewarded after 4 consecutive deaths.
    • When you’re downed, you’ll drop to the ground with access to your weapons and equipment. This makes for an easy revenge kill.
    • If you move, you can no longer use your weapons. Stay alive while in a final stand long enough, and you’ll automatically revive.

  • Martyrdom
    • Rewarded after 4 consecutive deaths.
    • Drops a Frag Grenade where you die.

  • Dead Man’s Hand
    • Rewarded after 6 consecutive deaths.
    • Similar to Last Stand, except you drop on the ground with C4, with your hand on the detonator. If you’re shot, the explosive will go off. Otherwise, you can set it off at your leisure.

  • Hollow Points
    • Rewarded after 5 consecutive deaths.
    • Increases your bullet damage, but for only a single kill.
